Went to the range the other day without warming up properly and slipped a disc.
What I thought was just run-of-the-mill sore back pain turned out to be a bulging disc requiring a round of steroids and eventually physical therapy.
At the time I thought I'd just pulled a muscle but as the weekend went on I couldn't get out of a chair without help, walk without limping and yelping if I sneezed or even breathed wrong.
Visited spine doctor who put me on steroids after which I'll start physical therapy.
This was definitely different than a run-of-the-mill pulled muscle.
